Seller Policy

Registration & Account Setup:

a)       Sellers must register an account, providing accurate and complete information. The platform reserves the right to verify and approve all seller accounts. Any discrepancies may lead to account suspension.

Subscription & Fees:

a)       Sellers are required to pay a monthly subscription fee to access and maintain their seller accounts on the platform. The subscription grants sellers access to listing features, promotional tools, and customer support.

b)       In addition to the subscription, Kolathur Fish Market charges a commission of 10-20% on each successful transaction. This commission is deducted automatically from the seller’s earnings per sale.

Product Listings:

a)       Sellers must provide accurate, detailed, and honest descriptions for all listed products, including clear and high-quality images. Misrepresentation or false information about products may result in penalties or account suspension.

b)       Pricing must be competitive and aligned with market standards. The platform encourages sellers to update product availability and stock status promptly to avoid customer disputes.

Quality Assurance:

a)       Sellers are expected to adhere to high-quality standards for products. Aquarium fish and other live products must be healthy and delivered in proper packaging to ensure their well-being during transit.

b)       Regular quality checks may be conducted by the platform to ensure compliance with these standards. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

Shipping & Delivery:

a)       Sellers must comply with the platform's shipping policies, ensuring that products are dispatched within 2 to 5 business days unless otherwise agreed upon during order confirmation.

b)       Sellers are responsible for using registered courier services and providing tracking information to buyers. Any delays or issues in delivery must be communicated promptly to both the buyer and the platform.

Returns, Refunds, & Disputes:

a)       Sellers must establish a clear return and refund policy for their products, in accordance with the platform’s guidelines. Sellers are responsible for resolving customer disputes efficiently and professionally.

b)       If disputes are not resolved in a timely manner, the platform reserves the right to intervene and take appropriate action, which may include issuing refunds to the customer or suspending the seller’s account.

Compliance with Legal and Ethical Standards:

a)       Sellers must comply with all legal requirements, including taxes, permits, and licenses necessary for selling their products. Non-compliance may lead to penalties or account termination.

b)       Ethical practices are expected at all times. Sellers must not engage in the sale of prohibited or illegal items and must ensure that all live animals and aquatic plants are ethically sourced.

Payment Settlement:

a)       Earnings from sales will be settled after deducting platform commissions and any other applicable fees. Payments will be transferred to the seller’s registered bank account on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, as per the seller’s agreement with the platform.

Account Termination:

b)       Kolathur Fish Market reserves the right to terminate or suspend any seller account that violates the platform's policies, engages in fraudulent activities, or fails to meet quality and service standards.

c)       Sellers wishing to close their accounts must provide a 30-day notice. Any outstanding fees or unresolved disputes must be addressed before the account is closed.
